Although Australia’s economy is improving and her prosperity increasing, do not be complacent about the world in which we live and what will unfold in the future. These are days to become strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. These are days of harvest and relative peace where the opportunity to lay a strong foundation in relationship with God and with each other is substantial. There is a saying “make hay while the sun shines”! These are days to take advantage of the conditions to build strong and deep. They are not days to idle away our freedom and luxury in useless, self-centred pleasures. Instead renew our mind and cultivate values, relationships and knowledge that will serve well in tougher times. The Lord is with us and loves us. Let’s return that love by doing things that delight our Lord, not just “me” so His joy will be in us.
