Singing |
There are various ways of expressing our worship through singing:
Through congregational singing of songs such as choruses and hymns.
Through spiritual songs - inspired songs which are spontaneous and
may contain a message for the congregation (Col 3:16, Eph 5:19).

Speaking in tongues
|
This is a supernatural manifestation of the Holy Spirit to speak or
utter audibly in an unknown tongue (1 Cor 14:2, 4), which edifies
the believer. Believers may speak or sing in this heavenly tongue (1
Cor 14:14-15).

Lifting
up hands and clapping to worship |
"Thus I will
bless You while I live, I will lift up my hands in Your name (Ps 63:4)". "Lift
up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the Lord (Ps 134:2)". "Clap your hands
all you nations; shout for joy to God with cries of joy (Ps 47:1)".
|
|
Shouting joyfully
|
"Oh come, let
us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.. (Ps
95:1,2)". "Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth; Break forth in song,
rejoice, and sing praises (Ps 98:4)".

|
Dancing
accompanied by various musical instruments in worship |
At times we may
express our joy in the Lord through dancing. "Let them praise His name with the
dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp (Ps 149:3)".

Order in the church service
|
While we
encourage spontaneity and liberty in all the above forms of worship, we believe
each has its place within an orderly service. "...let everything be done in a
fitting and orderly way (1 Cor 14:40)".
