To fulfil the
Great Commission in our life-time by building strong and biblical people to
plant strong and biblical churches in Melbourne, Australia and all over the
world. |
1990: Hope of God Australia began in 1990 when a
team of people from Waverley Christian Fellowship was commissioned
and sent out to start a Hope of God church in Melbourne.
Since then, seven other churches have been planted in Australia:
Canberra 1992, Sydney 1993, Brisbane 1993, Perth 1993, Adelaide
1996 and Newcastle 1997.

1991: An inner-city church outreach was planted as an outreach
to the inner suburbs. This church is now known as the Hope Christian Church,
Melbourne (City Centre) |
2001: Dr Ian Foley appointed as Pastor of Waverley
Centre.

2001: Dr Wilson Lim appointed as Senior Pastor of Hope
Christian Church Melbourne. |

2002: Mark Rusic appointed as Pastor of City Centre Church.

2002: Hope Melbourne celebrates its 12th anniversary
with the theme "All for One and One for All" |
2003: Hope Melbourne (Waverley Centre) were host to the "Divine
Authority Church" Oceania Convention in Philip Island.

2004: Hope
Melbourne Christian Church receives award for being "The Fastest Growing Church" |
2005: Pastor Ian
Foley goes full time as Senior Pastor over Hope Melbourne Waverley Centre and
City centre. Hope Melbourne (City Centre) hosts a successful Oceania Convention
in Philip Island.
